No More Redmi Note series

No More Redmi Note Series

Won't Xiaomi launch anymore Redmi Note series smartphones? Won't we see Redmi Note 5 this year? I doubted this when company launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus earlier this month. So in this article we are going to discuss whether Xiaomi is discontinuing Redmi Note series or not.

The most successful series of Xiaomi is this redmi note series. As we know about the success of Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4, they were among the best selling smartphones of 2016 and 2017 respectively. These phones are best value for money in $200 segment. They are package of everything, fast performance, long battery life, good display, good design and many others. So in their price bracket, they are best value for money phones.
But last month on December 7, company launched two new devices that are Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus. These two phones are also from the affordable price segment. They are launched with 18:9 displays in budget segment. Redmi 5 is smaller in size while Redmi 5 plus is the bigger one while the aspect ratio of the displays is same. Redmi 5 is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset while Redmi 5 plus is powered by Snapdragon 630 chipset. Redmi Note 4 is also powered same kind of chipset as that of Redmi 5 Plus that is snapdragon 625.

After the launch of Redmi 5 Plus, all were expecting that Redmi Note 5 will have more strong specifications. But now the reports have come from a MIUI forum moderator that there won't be any Redmi Note 5 this year, Redmi 5 Plus will be the only large screen affordable smartphone of this year from the company. It simply means that Xiaomi is discontinuing the Redmi Note series.

But according to me, Xiaomi should launch Redmi Note 5 as Note series is the company's most successful series. Xiaomi should power this up with the more strong processor that is Snapdragon 660. But this is not the official confirmation from the company that it is discontinuing the redmi note series. This is just the information from a moderator on MIUI forum. So we can expect Redmi Note 5 from the company until the official confirmation comes. We will keep you updated about Redmi Note 5 from time to time.

Redmi 5 amd Redmi 5 Plus

Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus
So finally after so much rumors and leaks, Xiaomi has unveiled Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. And also it has amazed all with the launch of these two devices. The amazing thing which Xiaomi has done with these two devices is with their display. Xiaomi used a 18:9 aspect ratio display for both of these devices. This is the most interesting thing as this is the first phone in it's price segment to come with 18:9 display. And now let's see what other specifications do these phones offer.
The most interesting thing about  Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus is their design. As many of the phone companies are preferring 18:9 aspect ratio display for their phones, Xiaomi also got inspired by them and it has provided this kind of display in these two devices. The display looks really good with small bezels. The screen size of Redmi 5 is 5.7" while that of Redmi 5 plus is 5.99". But the size of the phone will not be much bigger, it will fit easily in one hand as the phone's size remain same only bezels get smaller that's why screen size increases. The resolution of the display of Redmi 5 is 720*1440 pixels while that of Redmi 5 Plus is 1080*2160 pixels. The display is protected by corning gorilla glass at the front.
From back it looks like it's predecessors which has metallic back, fingerprint sensor and primary camera. This type of design is also present on many other phones in this range which looks kind of boring. But we can't complain at this price point.
The camera of both Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus is same. They have a primary camera of 12MP with f/2.2 aperture, this is the same camera sensor as used on Xiaomi Mi A1. It can capture video upto 1080pixels at 30fps. The secondary of the devices is of 5MP which can also capture video upto 1080p.
Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus both have different processors. Redmi 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset which is based on 14nm architecture. The chipset is an octa core chipset with eight cortex A-53 cores cloaked at 1.8 GHz. It is powered by Adreno 506 GPU.
Redmi 5 Plus is powered by slightly powerful chip that is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 which is also an octa core chipset with eight vortex A-53 cores cloaked at 2.0 GHz. This chipset is also based on 14nm architecture. This is the same processor which powers the Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Mi A1. This is also powered by Adreno 506 GPU. The performance of both the phones will be good with Redmi 5 Plus slightly better in some tasks.
Operating system
Operating System of both the devices is same that is MIUI 9 which is based on Android Nougat. But they will be upgraded to Android Oreo soon. The user interface is same as all other Mi devices which is  typical UI. Also it will be having some unique features which are present on MIUI 9 like split screen, lightening fast and many more. The UI will be lag free and it's speed will be good.
Redmi 5 is powered by 3300 mah battery and Redmi 5 Plus is powered by 4000 mah battery. Xiaomi actually cuts off the battery of the Redmi 5 considering the battery of it's predecessor which has 4000 mah battery. But it is okay, the battery will easily last for a typical day. Also both the devices are powered by chipsets which are based on 14nm architecture, so power consumption will also be less.
Memory and RAM
Both Redmi 5 and 5 Plus comes in two memory options. Redmi 5 comes in 2GB/16 GB and 3GB/32GB. Redmi 5 Plus comes with 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB.
The pricing of both phones is really impressive. Redmi 5 starts at $120 and Redmi 5 Plus at $150 in china. The phones will go on sale in china on 12thDecember. Xiaomi has priced these phones very aggressively and even at this price they are giving so much of hardware and also the displays which have small bezels. Even some of the flagships these days don't have such displays like Google Pixel. So this is a very good step by Xiaomi.

Nokia 2

This year Nokia has made a comeback by launching many of it's devices in all price segment like Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 8 and Nokia 7. And now it has launched a new device in the market which is also budget friendly. The new smartphone is called Nokia 2.

Nokia 2 comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 212 chipset. The device is having a 5 inch screen. The resolution of the screen is 720p. The display is of IPS LCD type. It comes in three colors that are Black, White and Copper.

Nokia 2 comes with the monstrous battery that is 4100mah. It is the first smartphone from Nokia this year to have such a large battery. So really good battery life is expected from Nokia 2. The company is saying the battery will last easily for 2 days as chipset is optimized in such a way to consume less battery. The camera of the phone is of 8MP(rear) and the secondary camera is of 2MP.

This phone is mainly focused to countries like India.

A suit against Apple for using the name Animojis

A suit against Apple by a Japanese company
Apple is sued by a Japanese company Emonster which holds the trademark for Animojis, which is a new feature in the new Apple iPhone X. The Japanese company is saying that Apple knows about the Animojis as the same named app is available on iTunes and instead of knowing this Apple has used this name for it's new feature in iPhone X.
Animoji is an app which is owned by Emonster which helps user to send moving emojis to the other user. In this, these emojis are send with the help of a code written in Java or Python and thus moving emojis are send to the other person. While Apple's feature is a little bit different, it uses the face recognition technology present on the iPhone X for creating these Animojis. The user has to make the face like what he wants for the Animoji to be look like. So the emoji will be created of the same face which we make in front of our phone.
But as these both have the same name Animojis, both involve moving emojis and both are involved on the same platform that is Apple, according to the lawsuit one should be ruled out of the other.
According to the suit apple knew about the trademark ownership as the app is available on the same platform. Also Apple offered to buy the trademark but when it was turned down it kept on using the same name, and didn't change the name.
Apple has also filed a petition in court this September to cancel the trademark of Emonster, which is under review. Apple said because of filing error, Emonster registered the trademark to a non existent  business and therefore can't actually own Animoji.
Emonster is seeking for unnamed amount of money in damages and also a law order to stop apple using the name Animoji for the new feature available on iPhone X.

Nokia 7: A midranger

Nokia 7
This year Nokia has made a comeback in the smartphone
world by launching four of it's devices which are Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8. Among which Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 lie in lower budget segment, Nokia 6 in higher budget segment and Nokia 8 in Flagship segment. But now it's time for a mid ranger smartphone. Nokia on Thursday launched a mid range smartphone which is called Nokia 7. This is the first smartphone from HMD Global to launch in this segment. So let's see what features do Nokia has provided in this.
Nokia 7 is the first smartphone from the company to have a glass back. It has a 3D Gorilla glass on back. This glass is a corning gorilla glass. The frame is of Aluminum which provides a good grip. The design of the phone is really premium. It looks really stunning. But this glass back also makes it slippery as well as fingerprint magnet.
Nokia 7 also has 5.2" IPS Panel on front. This display is of full HD resolution. It's a normal display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Also the phone is splash proof  but it isn't water proof.
Nokia 7 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 630 chipset which is based on 16nm architecture. The chipset is built on a octa core processor with eight cortex A-53 cores cloaked at 2.2GHz each. The performance of the device will be decent with this chipset. Also for better graphics there is Adreno 508 GPU. So the device will be able to handle all the heavy games without any issues and lags.
The phone is having 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixels. The camera can record videos upto 4K @30fps. There is a front camera of 5MP with f/2.0 aperture lens with 1.4µm pixels. The camera setup is supported by Carl Zeiss technology. This also includes a new thing which is also included in Nokia 8 is what called Bothies which captures the back view and front by splitting screen by using both cameras.
The phone comes in two variants 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM while internal storage is fixed at 64GB. It can also take microSD cards for memory expansion. It also has OZO audio recording which records audio from 360 degrees.
Nokia 7 is having 3000mah battery and also supports 18W fast charging. It has a USB Type-C port. It also has 3.5mm headphone jack. It also supports NFC. The device is having Android 7.1.1 Nougat which will be upgraded to Oreo in future. And the user interface is stock android, so it will not be having any extra bloatware. Also the device is having all the basic sensors. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
There are some shortcomings in this phone which are Ni dual camera setup. In this price segment most of the phones come with dual camera setup which is simply missing in this phone. Also these days, most of the devices are coming with bezelless displays which have 18:9 aspect ratio, but it comes with a simple IPS panel which has 16:9 aspect ratio.
Nokia 7 comes in two colors which are Gloss Black and Matt White. The phone will be available in china from 24 October. It will be priced at $370 for the 4GB model and $410 for the 6GB model.

Potrait mode in camera is coming to more affordable phones

Portrait Mode is coming to more affordable phones as well

These days Portrait mode is becoming very famous in smartphone photography in which only the object gets focused and the background becomes blurry. So the picture looks really great in this portrait mode. But for this portrait mode an extra telephoto lens or wide angle lens is required to produce the depth effect which adds extra cost to the device. That's why this mode is restricted to high range phones only.

But Samsung on Wednesday came up with a new image sensor chip which uses the single lens to produce the portrait mode shots. Actually this is a dual pixel lens and these split pixels helps in generating the portrait mode photos. It's dual pixel are able to offer the slightest shift in the perspective when shot is taken. In a split second it is able to understand from two shots what to be kept in focus and what to be blurred out. This new camera chip is known as Fast 2L9.

This technology is already present on Google Pixel 2 which also uses the dual pixel to generate the portrait shots. Samsung came up with this chip because it wants to cut the extra cost for the extra depth sensor at the back and also to make the phone sleeker. So in future we will see affordable phones with this Portrait mode in their cameras.

Honor 7x goes official with 18:9 screen

Honor 7x
These days most of the smartphone companies are decreasing the side bezels of their phones and launching the phones at a higher aspect ratio particularly 18:9. Honor also come up with a phone that is Honor 7x with the same screen which is a mid ranger device. Earlier Honor launched Honor 9i with this type of screen and now it's time for Honor 7x.
Huawei has finally unveiled Honor 7x in the market. The most interesting feature of this phone is that it is a budget smartphone and has this display which has very small bezels and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is among one of those rare phones in this price segment which comes with this type of display. The display looks really good with very small bezels. The size of the screen is 5.5" with resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. Also there is 2.5D glass at front. The phone has a full metallic body and weighs 165 grams.
Also this phone comes with dual camera setup which looks same as that of Honor 9i, that is 16MP main lens along with 2MP lens. But front camera is a single 8MP shooter unlike Honor 9i which has dual camera setup on front as well.
The phone is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 659 chipset which has eight cortex A-53 cores grouped in two clusters. For graphics the phone is having Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. Honor 7x is having 4GB of RAM but it has three storage options which are 32GB 64GB and 128GB.
The phone will come with Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1. The device is priced at around $200 for 32GB, $260 for 64GB and $300 for 128GB. The phone will be available in china from October 17.

Xioami Mix Mix 2 launched in India

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

So finally Xiaomi launched it's flagship phone of 2017 in India that is Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Yes, Mi Mix 2 launched in India as a flagship phone of 2017 after Xiaomi drops plan to launch Xiaomi Mi 6 in India. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is successor to last year launched Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Xiaomi actually didn't launch Xiaomi Mi Mix in India as it was launched as a concept phone. The phone is also based on the same concept as that of Xiaomi Mi Mix that is bezelless display. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has very thin side bezels as well as top bezel. While there is still a thick bezel at the bottom which holds a secondary camera and navigation keys. So let's see some of the specs of the phone.

Size: 5.99"
Display: IPS LCD Full HD display
Resolution: 1080*2160 pixels with 18:9 aspect ratio
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 4
Chipset: Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset
GPU: Adreno 540
Weight: 185 grams
Primary: 12MP with phase detection autofocus, OIS(4-axis)
Video: 2160 @30fps, 1080 @30fps, 720p @120fps
Secondary: 5MP
Battery: Non-removable Li-ion 3400 mah
Sensors: Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer
3.5 mm jack: No
Memory: 128GB
Colors: Black, White

The design of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is very cool. The most interesting feature of this phone is it's display. It is having a bezelless display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is having a full HD IPS LCD type display. The display of the phone looks really great. It not only makes the display much enjoyable to watch but it gives a premium touch to the phone. It is having a full ceramic back which further makes it more premium. Actually the back is really shinny but it is also a fingerprint magnet. Also it makes the phone a bit slippery but we can use the phone with supplied cover. There is an aluminum rim which runs around the sides of the phone. So overall the design of the phone is very premium. Also Xiaomi Mi Mix was having a piezoelectric speaker but this time Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is having a physical speaker in a thin slit above. But it retains the ultrasonic proximity sensors beneath the display.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset about which we already know. The performance of the phone will be really good. It will be able to do any task thrown on it. So there is nothing to worry about the performance of the device as it is having one of the fastest mobile chipset of 2017.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has just single camera at back which is little bit disappointing as many of the flagships these days have dual camera setup for better photography. The phone is having a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture size, 4 axis OIS, 1.25 micron pixels. On front it has a 5MP secondary camera. The placement of this camera is at the bottom of the display which is a very awkward position for the front camera as it creates a lot of difficulty for user to click selfies. The camera appears to be little bit disappointing as it is having a single lens at back.

Xiaomi is powering Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat. This device is having a 3400 mah battery. Also the phone is supplied with a fast charger. Due to 18:9 aspect ratio, most of the apps won't run in the full display because most of the apps still runs on the 16:9 aspect ratio. So there will be black bars around some apps and videos as well.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is priced at 36000 INR which appears to be high by seeing it's competition in market. It is in direct competition with OnePlus 5 which has sort of same specifications. OnePlus 5 has many better features than Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 such as dash charging, dual camera setup and many more. So Xiaomi should have priced this device lower in market. The phone will be available from 17th October to buy.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 Announced

So finally after so many rumors and leaks, Google has announced it's 2017 flagship devices that are Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. These two phones are successor to last year launched Pixel and Pixel XL. Last year Google started it's new smartphone series Pixel, in which all the smartphones in this are designed by Google. These smartphones are the first in market to get Google Android Updates.
Last year Pixel smartphones were praised a lot due to their best camera performance than any other smartphone in the market. So this year these devices should also have good cameras, as cameras are focused a lot in the launch event. Also this year these have some new features in the department of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality. So let's see some specs of the device and see whether these are worth buying flagships of the year or not.
Size: 5" for Pixel 2 and 6" for Pixel XL 2
Display: Full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen Pixel 2 and Quad HD P-OLED display for Pixel XL 2
Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 5
Weight: 143 grams for Pixel 2 and 175 grams for Pixel XL 2
Chipset: Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset
GPU: Adreno 540
Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo
Memory: 64GB and 128GB
SD card: No
Primary: 12.2 MP with f/1.8 aperture lens, OIS, PDAF and Laser Autofocus
Video: 2160p @30fps, 1080p @30/60/120fps, 720p @240fps
Secondary: 8MP with f/2.4 aperture lens
Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, Barometer, Fingerprint, Ambient Light Sesnor
Battery: 2700 mah for Pixel 2 and 3520 mah for Pixel XL 2
3.5 mm jack: No

The design of the phone is more or less same for the both of the models. While the Pixel XL 2 has small bezels and has more screen to body ratio but Pixel 2 has comparatively larger bezels. Pixel XL 2 has screen to body ratio 18:9 while Pixel 2 has 16:9.
On the back the phone has aluminum back with small portion of glass as well on the camera portion. On front the phones have 5" and 6" screens with full HD and Quad HD resolution respectively.
Also the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The build quality of the phone appears good same as there predecessors. Both the devices are not having 3.5 mm jack. But they both are having front firing stereo speakers for better sound output.
The design of the phones don't appear very premium like other flagships such as Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Apple iPhone X. It appears to somewhat boring. Also even if Pixel XL 2 comes with bezel less display it still have considerable side bezels which look very annoying. Pixel 2 comes in three colors which are black, white and blue while Pixel XL 2 comes in just black and black and white mix colors. Also this time we have colorful power buttons with red and neon colored.
The performance of the phone will be really good. We already know about the performance of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset which also powers many other flagship smartphones this year. This chipset is among the best performance chips of the year. So we shouldn't care about the performance of the device, it will be as fast as other flagships like OnePlus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S8 or may be even faster than them due to Stock Android OS.
Software and OS

The most important component of the Pixel series is it's OS. Pixel smartphones have stock android Operating System. Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are powered by latest version of Android that is Android 8.0 Oreo. There won't be any bloatware in the device. The experience will be really good in the OS without any lags.
Also the device is having always on display just like many phones.

Both Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 have same camera specs. The phone is having a improved camera sensor of 12.2 MP with f/1.8 aperture lens. This time the device is having Optical Image Stabilization with Electronic Image Stabilization as well. Last year Pixels were among the best camera phones of the year. So this year the legacy should be maintained. There is a small camera bump this time. The phone also has portrait mode which blur the background and focuses on main object. But it doesn't use a secondary lens for the portrait shots, it uses dual sensor technology for this. It is done by software tricks. Also there is HDR+ mode which was also present on previous pixels for better dynamic range. This camera is very helpful in Augmented Reality. Yes this camera looks the surroundings around us in a 3D view and understands it. The front camera on the device is a 8MP shotter with f/2.4 aperture size. Also the front camera supports Portrait mode. So this is really cool. Also there are motion photos present on the camera which are 3sec videos just like Apple Live Photos.
New Features

Augmented Reality: Augmented Reality is one of the most interesting feature in the world of technology. That's why Google has also implemented this in it's new device. Augmented Reality is the technology by which our devices see our surroundings in a 3D way. It acts as a link between Physical and the Digital world. As this phone can see the surrounding in 3D we can interact the world digitally on the phone and do many things on the device which can't be done physically. So implementation of this Augmented Reality is a very good move from Google. This technology is also very useful in some of the AR games which let the user to experience digital game play in a real world environment.
Google has used this technology to include a very cool thing in their devices that is AR Stickers, this stickers acts as little characters. These little characters can be put in our scene, we can see them on screen beside us on the phone with the help of camera. And thus we can record a video or click a picture with these characters doing their cool stuff. There are many such characters which are available in these Pixel devices such as from SNL, Star wars, YouTube and NBA. This is very good implementation by Google.

Google Lens: Google Lens is also a cool stuff from Google. Google announced this thing in I/O 2017. This is a kind of search in which when we focuses on some object or some written material with it's camera it searches about that thing on web and gives us some info about that. This is really helpful when we come across some new thing in our life and we just focuses on that with the phone's camera and we get info about that thing.
Squeeze: So we know about the squeezable sides on HTC U11 which can do many things by just squeezing the sides of the phone. In this device we also get that technology but unfortunately we can only do one thing with that, we can only open Google assistant. We can't map it to do some other work. We can only customize the amount of force applied to make Google assistant active.
Always On display: Another good feature of new pixels is their always on display. This tells us time and other notifications.
Also the microphones of the device are always active so we can activate Google assistant at any time we want to open by just saying the hot word Okay Google.
The most important thing is the pricing of the devices. Google Pixel 2 is priced at $649 and Google Pixel XL 2 at $849 in the US market for the 64GB versions. In India the phones are priced at 61000 INR and 73000 INR respectively. The pricing is fair by seeing the price of other flagship phone sin the same price segment.

Google Tez app launached in India

Google Tez
Google has finally launched Google Tez app in India. Tez is a smartphone based app which can be used to make digital payments within the country. Tez is a very secured app for making digital payments. The payment method is also very easy.
Google says you can make any payments with the help of this app, whether you have to send money to your family or friend or you have to pay to any shop in the market or you have to pay any bill. The payment method is quite easy.
Also the payment is very secured. It uses the Unified Payment Interface method for making payment which is also used by many apps like BHIM, Phonepay and many more. The app is compatible with all the UPI enabled banks. Also there will be a specific PIN to open the app.
For further security, there is a cash mode of payment in app in which you don't have to share you bank account or phone number for making payments. It's just like share it, the person who has to receive money has to switch on receive button and the person who has to send money has to enable send option in the cash mode. But for this option that person should be near to us. So in this way we can send or receive money without sharing phone number or A/c number.
Also Google has some partner companies like Redbus, Dominos, PVR and more for payments through Tez app. But in future more companies will collaborate with the app.

The app is available to download on Android as well as iOS platforms. There is also rewards option in the app in which we can get rewards if we make payments through this app. There are also specific offers active on this app like if we share this app with our friend and he downloads the app and makes his first payment, we both will get 51 INR. Also there is 1 lakh lucky draw offer with which the person can registered if he pays anyone at least 50 INR.
Also there is one more offer, in which if we send or receive money with someone, we each earn scratch card that can contain upto 1000 INR.

iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 plus

iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus

So finally the king of all the flagship devices is out that is Apple has announced iPhone of this year. This year Apple not only announced two iPhones but there is one more variant as this is the 10th anniversary of iPhones. Apple announced these phones in an event held at Steve Jobs theater. Every year all the tech enthusiasts are excited about the new iPhones and time has come. I know there are many questions in your mind about these new iPhones, what is their design?, how will they perform?, what extra new features? and many more, so without wasting further time let's see what are the specifications of this year iPhone.

This year is the 10th anniversary of iPhone that's why, Apple announced three iPhones this year. The two are successors to the regular iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that are iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. There is one more special iPhone which is known as iPhone X. So basically the three new iPhones are iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. This iPhone X will have some special features than iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. So let's see what are the specifications of these three iPhones and what new and extra features, Apple is providing this year in their new iPhones. The most interesting among these three is iPhone X, so first let's discuss about this.

iPhone X: Design

The design of the iPhone X this year is really great. This year there is a considerable change in the design of the iPhone. From last two or three iPhones the design of the iPhone remains same which looks really boring.

The first noticeable difference is the display of the device. iPhone X is having an edge to edge OLED panel.
Yes, you read it right Apple is going with OLED panels this year.
Edge to edge display means the bezels of the phone are very thin and the aspect ratio of the display is 18:9. Apple is calling this display Super Retina display. Also there is a cut out at the top of the display for sensors and front camera. The resolution of the display is 2436*1125 resolution. This is the first iPhone to have an OLED display. So the display looks very good. The size of the display is 5.8 inch, but the phone will be easy to use with one hand as it has more screen to body ratio, it isn't as big as a 5.8 inch phone.

The back of the iPhone X is made of glass just like Samsung Galaxy S8 or Note 8, which make the looks of the phone very good. So the phone looks really premium with this glass back and cool display. As this phone has glass back it will also support wireless charging. Also there is a side button available which can be used to talk to Sri by just holding it.

Instead of glass at front and back, there is a metallic band around the sides of the phone for better grip and shinny look. This time iPhone X is water and dust resistant. But one thing to note is that iPhone X isn't having any physical Home Button. So how to unlock the phone and what about security of the phone? The screen awake just with a single tap at any part of the screen. Let's discuss this in the later part. The 3D touch is also available on the phone's display.

Face ID

As iPhone X doesn't have any Home Button so there isn't any touch ID but iPhone X is having face ID new feature which can unlock the phone by just looking at it. There are various sensors such as Flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera and dot projector on the cut out at the top which helps in unlocking the device with face recognition. This whole system is known as True Depth Camera system. When we look at the camera it fires thousands of infrared dots, the camera fires and it checks the pattern against the stored image in the real time. It involves multiple neural actions. There is a neural engine involved in the device which helps in enabling this Face ID recognition. So according to company this technology is really accurate and fast due to this dual core neural engine. Also according to Apple it adapts to our face from time to time, it even unlocks the phone if grew beard, wear a cap and take a haircut. And also it can't be spoofed by photographs. It also works with Apple Pay just we have to look at the device.

One another cool feature of this Face ID is Animojis. Animojis are animated emojis which can do some gestures according to our gestures. Yes we can create emojis by making any face gesture or saying something, whatever we want them to. But just something which we have to do is just do or say the same thing which we want them to. Our this activity is very easily detected by face ID and thus the Animojis are created. I know this isn't looking too cool as by reading this but really this looks very cool when we see the video.

The rear camera setup of iPhone X is dual rear camera. The camera setup is same as present on iPhone 7 Plus which involves one normal lens and other a telephoto lens. This has 12MP dual rear camera, with f/1.8 aperture normal lens and a f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens. This telephoto lens helps in 2x optical zoom and portrait shots. Yes 2x optical zoom is present with zero loss quality. The optical image stabilization is present in both the lens.
Also there is quad LED flash present for low light photographs. Also there is a dedicated portrait mode for depth in feel shots. The camera can record 4K videos upto 60fps and full HD videos upto 240fps. On front iPhone X has 7MP camera with f/2.2 aperture lens.

The new feature which this dual camera setup can do is Portrait lightening, the dual cameras sense the depth and rework the lightening while we compose the shot. There is a new menu from which we can select the lightening on our face, these aren't filters. This is real time analysis of light on our subject's face. It looks cool.

Apple iPhone X is powered by Apple A11 Bionic chipset. This chipset is based on Hexacore processor which has two performance cores and four high efficiency cores. This is built on 64-bit design.
We all know that iPhones are always fastest flagship phones of the year. And this legacy will maintain here too. It will perform all the tasks without any issues. It can do any task whatever we throw to it. So also there won't be any issues regarding any high graphic intensive tasks as the device is packed with very good performance GPU. There is no worry regarding the performance of the iPhones, they always perform very well. A11 also has a new image processor with faster low light autofocus and new hardware noise reduction. iPhone X comes with 3GB of RAM. But the RAM amount doesn't matter for Apple, it does optimization in such a way that all apps run butter smooth.

Augmented Reality

Yes the new iPhone X also supports Augmented Reality. This is the first iPhone to have Augmented Reality. The cameras, gyroscopes, accelerometer and other sensors work together to make this a AR smartphone. CPU, GPU and image sensors are also calibrated for AR. There are a lot of AR based games touted by Apple at the event like Sky Guide, Atli Mar from Directive Games and many more. It will be really interesting to play all these games in the AR world while we still are in the same world but it definitely changes the environment around us. But there will be special AR Kit from Apple which need to be bought separately. But it will be a fun to wave your phone in front of your face playing a game. All these things are shown by Apple at the event, but it is still unknown how much effective will all these things be in the real life.

Now let's talk about wireless department on iPhone X. iPhone X has Bluetooth 5.0 and glass back for wireless charging. Yes there will be charging pads for charging the phone without any cable and all, just we have to keep our iPhone there at these pads. iPhone X also supports Qi standard. Qi is an open interface standard developed by the wireless pore consumption for inductive charging upto a distance of 4 cm. This system uses a charging pad and a compatible device which is placed on top of the pad charging via resonant inductive coupling. And nowadays these pads are available at all public places in US for charging smartphones such as Restaurant, Airports, Cafés, Office and many more. So iPhone X can be charged  at all the places even if you are not carrying your charger.

Now let's talk about the pricing of iPhone X, it's price will start from $999 in US for 64GB model.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

Instead of iPhone X, Apple also released two other iPhones this year that are iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The design of these iPhones is same as that of last year launched iPhone 7 and 7 plus. The only difference is that these have glass back instead of metallic. A steel band runs around the sides of both the devices. iPhone 8 has 4.7 inch of screen while iPhone 8 plus has 5.5 inch screen. These displays are of IPS LCD type. The resolution of display on iPhone 8 plus is 1080*1920 pixels while on iPhone 8 is 750*1334 pixels. As both phones have glass backs they both support wireless charging. Both these iPhones are dust and water resistant with IP67 rating.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus has the same displays as previous year iPhones, which means that it is not having an edge to edge display like iPhone X, so it retains the Home button from apple. It is also having touch ID for unlocking the device which means that it isn't having face ID like iPhone X.

Both these iPhones are powered by Apple A11 Bionic chipset as that of iPhone X. Thus chipset is based on hexa core processor with 2 Monsoon cores and 4 Mistral cores. Also the GPU is better than previous generation GPU. So there won't be any issue regarding the performance of the devices. But iPhone 8 comes with only 2GB RAM while iPhone 8 Plus has 3GB of RAM.

Now let's talk about the cameras, iPhone 8 plus has the same dual camera as that on iPhone X. iPhone 8 plus is having the lightening portrait mode and lightening effects just like iPhone X.

While iPhone 8 has one single rear camera lens of 12MP with f/1.8 aperture size. This also has Optical Image Stabilization. iPhone 8 isn't having this these portrait lightening and other lightening effects like iPhone 8 and iPhone X as this isn't having dual rear camera which helps in depth in feel effects.

Both these phones support Augmented Reality features just like iPhone X. So this is a nice thing.

Both these phones support wireless charging just like iPhone X, as these have glass back. They also support Qi charging. iPhone 8 plus has 2675 mah battery while iPhone 8  is  having 1821 mah battery. Both these phones support quick charging about which apple is claiming that can charge the battery upto 50% in 30 minutes.

These two iPhones will come in three colors that are Gold, Space Grey and Silver. iPhone 8's price will start from $699 and iPhone 8 plus from $799 both for 64GB model.
