HTC U11 announced

HTC U11

So now the time has come when HTC is all set to launch it's new flagship smartphone that is HTC U11. All the HTC fans hold their hearts and read the full article about the much awaited phone from HTC. This is the flagship phone from HTC of 2017. This is successor to last year launched HTC 10, which was flagship smartphone from HTC in 2016. Company launches HTC U11 today in an event held at Taipei. The smartphone was getting many rumors from last few weeks. Also the company has posted many teasers giving some information of the device's specialty. The main specialty of the phone is it's squeezable edges which I will describe further in the main topic. So without wasting further time let's discuss some of the specs of the phone.

Edge Sense

The most interesting feature of the phone, which the company has been touting from last few weeks is Edge Sense. The phone comes with edges which are squeezable. These edges are somewhat force sensitive. We can do many works by putting pressure on these edges with our hands. The phone can perform many things according to our force like opening up an app, taking a photograph, switching on flash light, starting Google Assistant and many more tasks. All these tasks work according to the amount of force we apply to the edges which we can customize in the settings. The most interesting thing of this is that it also works when we are using phone wearing gloves or using phone underwater. So think of the condition if you are at cold place and you are wearing gloves, you don't have to open the gloves again and again for taking photographs. So this new Edge Sense is the main highlighting point of the phone.

Design

The design of HTC U11 is different from last year's flagship. This time it is having the same design as that of HTC U Ultra. It is having the same glass design as on HTC U Ultra. The glass on the back of the phone looks very cool and it just looks like a liquid. The glass on back is very reflective. This glass design is good but it will make the phone slippery and also a fingerprint magnet. So it is advised to use a case with the phone. But this glass also design makes the phone very premium. It is having a metal frame too. On front it has 5.5 inch IPS LCD display. This time the most interesting feature of the phone are it's edges. It's edges comes with a feature known as Edge Sense. In this, these edges are force sensitive and can react to us when we squeeze the edges. We can set the sensitivity of this from settings for doing different tasks. So it will be really interesting to see how this feature will work on the phone. Also the company has ditched 3.5 mm headphone jack this time. There is USB Type-C port and I think company will include a Type-C to 3.5 jack adaptor in box. It is having rear mounted fingerprint scanner. Also the phone is water and dust resistant. It comes with IP67 rating. This device comes in five different colors which are sapphire blue, icy white, brilliant black, solar red and amazing silver.

Processing

So the processor used on this one is also the same as we saw on many of the flagships this year that is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. This chipset is used by Samsung S8, Xiaomi mi 6 and Sony Xperia XZ premium this year. And now HTC U11 is the fourth device to power this up. This chipset is based on an octa processor with four Kryo cores cloaked at 2.35 GHz and the other four Kryo cores cloaked at 1.9 GHz. Snapdragon 835 is the best chip ever made by Qualcomm. Actually this chip is made by Samsung. This chipset is based on new 10nm architecture. As we have already seen the performance of Samsung S8, which is top notch. So there won't be any issues regarding the performance of HTC U11. The General performance of the device will be really good. There won't be any lags whatsoever in the general use. The device should run as much fluid as Samsung S8. All things will go butter flow. The device is powered by Adreno 540 for graphics. So it can do all graphic intensive tasks without any issues like playing heavy games. So overall the processing of the phone is very good.

Display

HTC U11 is having a 5.5 inch display. This display is a Quad HD display which has 2560*1440 pixel of resolution. Also the quality of the display will be really good as it is a quadHD display. Also the Virtual Reality of the phone will be really enjoyable. This display will also be easy to see in direct sunlight.

Camera

The camera on HTC U11 should also be very good as it's competitors are among the best camera phones. So the rear camera on HTC U11 is a 12MP sesnor with f/1.7 aperture size. The device has Ultra fast autofocus for fast focusing. The phone is having 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization. So the picture will be really good in daylight as well as in low lightening conditions. I think it is having the same camera sesnor as that of Samsung S8. So it will be really good. But things also depend on optimization, specs don't tell all things. So it will be really interesting to see how the camera will perform. Also it can record videos upto 4K. For stable videos it has combination of OIS and EIS. It has a secondary camera of 16MP with f/2.0 aperture. On HTC 10 the secondary camera is of 5MP with f/1.8 aperture. This time company has decreased the aperture size but increased the megapixel count. So it will be interesting to see the camera performance of the phone.

Sound

HTC has also worked very well on it's sound department. It comes with new generation of Boomsound technology this year which enhances the quality of sound to a great extent. HTC  been very famous for it's sound department for many years. Also it comes with new generation of Usonic headphones which are very good and cancels the noise around us. They are very good noise cancellation headphones. These headphones detects the disturbance in our ears with the help of SONAR technology and provides the best sound possible to our ears. Also for audio recording this comes with 360 degree audio recording, which can be achieved by the four microphones on the phone. The quality of audio picked up by phone will be really good. So the sound department is really strong on HTC U11.

Artificial Intelligence

HTC U11 comes with a lot of Artificial Intelligence features. It comes with the most common Google Assistant which we have already seen in many of the phones. HTC U11 has a low power microphone which remains active all the time and this quickly recognizes our voice and responds. So Google Assistant works very well with the voice recognition. This Google Assistant also works with the Edge Sense. Also it is having Alexa AI which can play the music by listening our voice. HTC U11 comes with Android v7.1 with HTC Sense. This HTC Sense has got smarter can give us many of the suggestions according to our tasks. So the implementation of these different AI's will make a good User Interface on HTC U11. This Alexa AI will only work in few countries US, UK and Germany.

Sensors

HTC U11 is having all the basic sensors such as compass, gyro, proximity, accelerometer, fingerprint. The fingerprint sensor is rear mounted on this one.

Battery

HTC U11 is powered by 3000 mah non removable battery. It comes with USB Type-C port for charging. It also has QuickCharge 3.0. According to me battery amount is less by seeing the display resolution. But as this phone is having Snapdragon 835 which is based on 10nm architecture, it will help in less power consumption. And Quick charging will also help in charging the phone fastly. According to me the battery of HTC U11 will last for a full day for a moderate user but heavy users can face problems related to battery.

Final verdict

This time HTC has done something interesting with it's flagship device. It implemented a very new thing in the edges of the display. Also it is using a very fast processor for it's phone which is the fastest chipset Qualcomm has ever made. As the sales of HTC devices is going down from last few years the company has to do something innovative and new with it's new flagship. This new flagship will face tough competition with that of Samsung S8, LG G6 and iPhone 7. All things will depend on the pricing of the smartphone, because with it's last few phones HTC is not very good. It priced it's phones very highly in the market. But now company priced HTC U11 at 749 Euros which I think again a quite high price for a HTC smartphone. Because HTC has competition with Samsung and Apple, and htc has to understand that it has lost it's hold on the smartphone. So to lure the customers it should price it's smartphones somewhat lower than that of Samsung and Apple. Samsung S8 is available at 799Euros which is more or less same as HTC U11's price. Although it priced it's new flagship highly, HTC has implemented a very good feature in it that is Edge Sense. So let's see whether this new feature will help in increasing the sale of it's new flagship or not.

Xiaomi's First Mi Store in India

Xiaomi's Mi Store
We all know that Xiaomi is a very well known Chinese company in smartphone market. It has given us some of very good phones till now. It was ranked number one smartphone brand in China two years back. But last year the position of Xiaomi's in Chinese smartphone market declined. Many other smartphone brands like Huawei, Vivo and Oppo were ranked higher than Xiaomi as they have more market share than Xiaomi. While Xiaomi sell their phones only through online market, these other companies sell their phones online as well as offline market source. The online share of market in china is only 30%. While all these companies have a larger reach to people by opening their offline stores, even in 2 tier and 3 tier cities. That's why the sale of Xiaomi phones declined and that of Oppo and vivo increased.
Xiaomi has a major market share in China and India. These days people actually want to see the mobiles before buying. That's why they go for a smartphone which is available offline, and particularly a Oppo or vivo smartphone. Actually these companies also do a lot of marketing of their smartphones which increase their sales.
So Xiaomi has found a solution to this. It has opened many Xiaomi in house stores in china. In this store we can take these phones in our hands and use them. We can check it's built quality, camera, design, user interface, performance. After checking these we can decide whether to buy the phone or not. Xiaomi has already opened 70 in house stores in china. And now it's time for India. Xiaomi launches first in house store in India in Bengaluru. This is the first xiaomi's in house store in India. This will help the users to know everything about their smartphones before buying them. Also except smartphones, this store will also be having other Xiaomi products like power banks, fitness trackers, air purifier and watches. So this creates a whole world of Xiaomi there.
In India offline market share is major. Actually these retail shops only sell those phones in which they get more commission. And these shopkeepers always discourage online market so that customer get trapped and buy their smartphones only. I have already made a blog on smartphone market analysis in India. You can check it on my blog. Due to this condition of offline market I prefer this step by Xiaomi of opening an in house store. Xiaomi has further plans of opening more stores like these in India. This will definitely help Xiaomi to increase their sales in India.

One Plus 5 Rumors- The next flagship Killer?

One Plus 5

OnePlus is a well known Chinese company in the smartphone market. It launched it's first smartphone that is one plus 1 in 2014. The smartphone got really famous all over the world due to it's super cool features at a very affordable price. The smartphone is actually a flagship device carrying a lower price tag. After OnePlus 1 it also launched OnePlus 2, OnePlus X and OnePlus 3/3T till now. OnePlus 2 didn't get much success due to some shortcomings in it. But OnePlus 3 and 3T were among the best flagships of the year. OnePlus usually launch only one or two smartphones per year. It actually works very well on this particular smartphone and pay full attention to manufacture it. That's why they come up with a very good smartphone every year and give title to it's smartphone 'A flagship Killer'.

But now it's time for the fourth generation of the smartphone. But it is heavily rumored that company will name this smartphone OnePlus 5 not OnePlus 4. Actually OnePlus 4 should come after OnePlus 3 but as 4 is considered as an unlucky number in China, company will more likely skip this. Last year One Plus launched OnePlus 3 in June and this year company is also going to launch OnePlus 5 in June. So we heard some of the rumors of the  upcoming phone. So without wasting further time let's see some of the specs of the phone which are heavily rumored and also expected too.

Processor

The first thing which come in mind is processor. So which processor is company going to use on OnePlus 5 and how will be it's performance? OnePlus always uses the latest Qualcomm's Snapdragon flagship chipset for it's smartphone. So this time as Snapdragon 835 is latest, so the company will definitely go with this. Snapdragon 835 is based on an octa core processor with four kryo cores cloaked at 2.35GHz each and other four kryo cores cloaked at 1.9GHz each. As we know some smartphones are already using this processor for their flagships such as Xiaomi mi 6 and Samsung Galax S8, the performance will be top notch. We have already seen the performance of Samsung S8 and it is mind blowing, faster than any other Snapdragon chip. Snapdragon 835 is built on 10nm architecture, so the power consumption of the device will also be low. For graphics the phone will be powered by Adreno 540 GPU and that will also be good enough to handle all the graphic intensive tasks without any issues.
So as highly expected and heavily rumored OnePlus will be definitely going with this. But there is no confirmation from the OnePlus side yet.

Design

The next thing which comes in mind is design of the phone. How the phone will look? How will be it's built quality? These are the questions which come to mind. So I will answer these questions but in two parts. Firstly I will tell what I expect what will be the design of the phone and secondly I will tell the design according to rumors.

I expect that OnePlus will be using the same metal design which it used on OnePlus 3T. The metal design of OnePlus 3T is really good. OnePlus 3T is a very well built phone. It has very good built quality and feels very solid in hand. Also it fits in one
hand easily without any problem. Also the placement of fingerprint sensor is very good at front. The main difference will be that now it will be having the dual rear camera setup because many of the companies are implementing dual camera setup in their phones and also it will improve the picture quality and also add some features in it.

Now according to rumors the design will change. Few days ago design sketches of OnePlus 5 appeared on weibo which tells some different picture of the design of the phone. It tells there will be dual cameras at front as well as at back. This will add extra cost to the phone but as many of the companies are doing these then maybe OnePlus will also do this. Also there will be a ceramic made grill at the top of the metal chassis at the back. This will also add extra cost to the device. The other things related to design are that there will be a USB-Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and a speaker grill. There will be an alert slider too just like OnePlus 3T.

Also the design of the phone won't be that much awesome as we have seen on many of the flagships which launch in 2017 like Samsung S8 and LG G6. Actually OnePlus always provide flagship features at very affordable price and doing something interactive with their displays just like Samsung and LG have done, will add extra cost to their phone.

Display

Now talking about display, it is rumored that OnePlus 5 will have a quadHD display. The resolution of the display will be 1440*2560 pixels. The size of the display is rumored to be 5.5 inch. The display used on OnePlus 3/3T is an AMOLED display, so OnePlus should continue this legacy and also put an AMOLED display in OnePlus 5. The display quality will be much better this time if it will be a quadHD display. According to me company should go with this display as it has a 5.5 inch size and on this larger display quadHD will be very good. As many of the companies are also using quadHD displays for their flagships.

Camera

OnePlus 3/3T has very good cameras in their price range. But as it is considered as a flagship device it's camera performance is not as good as other high end flagships like Google Pixel, Samsung S8 and iPhone 7. But in OnePlus's price range they are best in class.
As already mentioned OnePlus is rumored to put a dual rear camera
setup on OnePlus 5, so definitely it will improve the picture quality. Among these dual camera it is rumored that one camera will be of 12MP. There is no news on aperture size of the lens yet.
According to me, company should choose a camera setup with a larger aperture size so it can allow more light to enter the camera lens and thus produce better pictures.

Storage and RAM

Last year the main highlighting point of OnePlus 3 was it's 6GB of RAM. It was the first phone to provide 6GB of RAM in it's phone. So this results in increasing the sales of phone. So this year company should go with even higher amount of RAM that is 8GB to highlights it's phone in the market. However it can also go with 6GB of RAM, because there won't be a miraculous increase in the performance if it goes with 8GB of RAM. And for internal storage it is rumored that there will be two memory options 64GB and 128GB. There won't be any expandable storage on the phone.

Battery

As par as the battery is concerned OnePlus 5 is rumored to have a battery of around 3800 mah. The battery life of the OnePlus 3/3T is not a highlighting point of the phone as the battery life of the device is just decent not something miraculous or great like Redmi Note 4 and others. So according to me the battery life of the phone will be something around 3500 mah. Also the 10nm architecture of Snapdragon 835 will help in less power consumption.

Also it will definitely come up with dash charging technology just like OnePlus 3/3T which is the fastest yet in any other smartphone. It can easily charge the phone in an hour. So it will be really helpful in OnePlus 5 too.

So these are some of the rumors of OnePlus 5. The price of the phone in India should be something under 35000INR. At this price it will compete with that of Xiaomi Mi 6, which Xiaomi has already launched in China but there is no word on the India's launch. OnePlus will release the phone sometime in June. So it will be interesting to see that this smartphone will turn out to be a flagship killer or not.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 and 660 chipset announced

Snapdragon 660 and 630

Qualcomm is an American company which designs and markets wireless telecommunication products and services. It is also very famous for making the chipset of smartphones. Almost every company use their chipsets in their smartphones. Qualcomm have mainly three series of chipsets that are 400, 600 and 800. 400 series is mainly used in budget smartphones, 600 in mid ranger and 800 in flagships. Few months ago Qualcomm launched it's new 800 series chip that is Snapdragon 835 which is powering some flagships now. The smartphones which uses Snapdragon 835 are Samsung S8 and Xiaomi Mi 6.

But now it's time for Snapdragon 600 series chipset. Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660 chip yesterday. These chips are successor to the last year Snapdragon 626 and 652 chips. SD 626 and 653 got very much successful due to their super cool performance.
These new two chips are based on 14nm architecture. Snapdragon 660 is the first Snapdragon 600 series chip to have Kryo cores. Snapdragon 660 is based on an octa core processor with eight Kryo 260 cores cloaked at 2.2 GHz. These Kryo cores are same as used on Snapdragon 835 but it is based on 10nm architecture. The performance of Snapdragon 660 chip will be good. This chipset has Adreno 512 for better graphics. Also this chip adds many new features. Now it has latest Snapdragon X12 LTE modem which can support maximum download speed of 600mbps on data and 867mbps on WiFi. Also it has Bluetooth 5.0 support. It also supports USB 3.1 and QuickCharge 4.0. It also has support for Quad HD display now. The company is claiming that it will be 20% faster than Snapdragon 653. As it is based on 14nm architecture the power consumption will also be less and so the battery life of the phone will be really good.

Snapdragon 630 is successor to Snapdragon 626 chipset. This chipset is based on an octa core processor with eight Cortex A-53 cores cloaked at 2.2GHz each. This is also based on 14nm architecture. The GPU used on this is Adreno 508. It also has latest Snapdragon X12 LTE modem with maximum download speed of 600mbps on data and 433mbps on WiFi. It also has Bluetooth 5.0. It also has Quick charging 4.0 and USB 3.1. The performance of this will also be better than Snapdragon 626. The battery life of the phone will also be good.

So in future many mid range phones will be using these. The company is saying that Snapdragon 660 is shipping now and 630 will be shipping later this month.

Tech News This Week

Tech News

Technology is one of the most hot topic these days. We come across many new tech news every week. So today I will discuss some of the most interesting tech news from this week. We came across news like Snapdragon new chipsets, Flipkart sale, Sachin Tendulkar SRT's smartphone, Microsoft Surface Laptop, UBEReats and many more this weak. So let's discuss them one by one.
Snapdragon chipset

Qualcomm, the chip maker is going to unveil some of it's mid ranger chips on May 9 in an event. The major chipset which is going to launch is Snapdragon 660 which will be successor to Snapdragon 652 chipset. The chip will be based on an octa core processor with all eight Kryo 280 cores. These cores are also used in Snapdragon 835 this year. But SD 660 will be based on 14nm architecture while SD 835 is based on 10nm architecture. The GPU will be Adreno 512 in this. But it is unclear how will be the performance of this. Two more chips will also be unveiled that day that are Snapdragon 630 and 635. These will be successor to Snapdragon 625 chipset.
 Microsoft Surface Laptop

Microsoft unveiled Microsoft Surface Laptop this week. This is a whole laptop, not like previous version of Surface that is PC Tablet. So it is a whole non-detachable laptop. But this one will have stylus support. Microsoft launched this in competition to Apple MacBook and Google Chromebooks. The device will be nice. The laptop will come in two processor versions that are Intel core i5 and core i7. Also there will be different configuration of RAM's and SSD's. The highest configuration of the laptop will be Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD. Also this will come with new Windows 10S which is a education oriented Operating System.
Windows 10S

Microsoft also launched Windows 10S this week. This new operating system is based on education. This OS is made to run on a computer with lower specifications. This will be used by the students even if they have a lower configuration system. Also it will be quicker than Windows 10 as it is actually a lighter version of Windows 10. Schools will be able to configure multiple machines with a USB drive. Also this will also boot quicker than Windows 10. But there is a problem in this that it can only run apps which are available on windows store. So it is a major drawback of this version.
UBerEATS

UBer is a well known cab company all around the world. It entered India few years ago. It got much success in India in cab industry. The major competitor of the company in India is Ola cab. UBer also has a food delivery business outside India in foreign countries. But now company has also launched this in India. This week UBer launched UBerEATS in Mumbai. So it has collaborated with many of the restaurants in Mumbai to deliver food to the customers at doorstep. In India Swiggy and Zomato are already very prominent in this business. They have their services in many cities in India. So UBerEATS will face a tough competition from all these companies.
In 2015 Ola also started this food delivery service but it didn't get much success. So let's see whether UBer will get success in this or not. For now UBer started this service only in Mumbai, but it has plans to launch this in all other major cities in the next coming months. For now the company will charge 15 INR for delivery irrespective of the bill cost.

Srt.Phone

This weak Smartron and the great Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar joined hands to launch a smartphone which is inspired by the cricketing legend. The smartphone comes with a photo and an autograph of Sachin Tendulkar at the back of the phone. At the time of launch of phone Sachin Tendulkar was present there. The smartphone has some cool specs. It is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 chipset  which is based on an octa core processor with four cortex A-72 cores cloaked at 1.8 GHz and other four cortex A-53 cores cloaked at 1.44 GHz. It has full metallic body. The size of the phone is 5.5 inch. On front it has a IPS LCD display with full HD resolution. It has a rear camera of 13MP with f/2.0 aperture lens size, PDAF, LED flash. On front it has a 5MP wide angle lens secondary camera. The phone comes in two memory specifications that are 4GB RAM, 64GB internal and 4GB RAM, 32GB internal. The battery capacity of the phone is 3000 mah. The phone is having USB Type-C charging port and it also supports quick charging. The phone is also having all the basic sensors. The phone is exclusively available on Flipkart and is priced very aggressively, 64GB model is available at 13000 INR and 32GB model is available at 14000 INR. At this price point it will compete with Redmi Note 4 which is also in the same price range. According to me Smartron has collaborated with Sachin Tendulkar just for the publicity of the phone.

Xiaomi's Recycling Program

Xiaomi has launched a new program in India in which it has collaborated with TES-AMM. This program is actually a recycling program in which company will recycle the electronic items like mobiles, headphones, modems, power banks, tablets etc. Actually the recycling task will be done by TES-AMM. The items will be picked up by Xiaomi from our doorstep at no charge. In return it will give us a 100 INR coupon, which can redeemed on the Xiaomi's website and there will be 100 off on a minimum purchase of 1000 INR. This program is launched in India for an initiative to control e-waste and reduce the impact on environment. So if you have some type of electonic items which don't work you can go for this.

Google Pixel/Pixel XL 13000 INR off

Google launched it's Pixel smartphone last year. The smartphone was priced very high. It was available at a starting price of 57000 INR for Google Pixel and at 67000 INR for Google Pixel XL. Actually Google stopped it's nexus series and introduced this pixel series last year. Now actually Flipkart is giving a great discount on these phones. All the models of pixel are available at a 13000 INR off at Flipkart. This is a huge discount on this phone. But if you wanna buy the phone with this discount you have to make payment through Debit/Credit card of any bank. I think there won't be any problem in this because these days all have these debit/credit cards. So there won't be any problem.

HTC U11 Rumors

HTC U11 Rumors

HTC is a well known Taiwanese company for smartphones. It launch it's smartphones in every price segment that are flagship, mid range and budget segment. But from last few years the sales of company's devices are declining. The reason behind this is the high price of their smartphones. HTC price their smartphones usually very high in the market. These days people usually prefer Samsung or Apple over HTC in the flagship segment. Because they simply have some additional features at the same price. So why do a person spend same money for a smartphone which have some features cut off. HTC's last year flagship was HTC One M10. The phone didn't get that much success although the device was good. It was announced last year in April. But now it's time for the next flagship phone of HTC that is HTC U11. The phone should be called HTC One M11 company is giving a new name to it's new flagship that is HTC U11. Name doesn't matter, the thing which matters the most is what is company actually putting in it's new flagship. HTC is actually launching the smartphone at an event at Taipei on 16th of May. So today I will discuss some of the rumors of the device.

The most interesting feature of the phone is the edge of the phone. The edges of the phone are rumored to be somewhat squeezable as seen from a video teased by the company. So the device can do actions according to the gestures. The color shown in the picture is a blue reflective color which we have recently seen in HTC U ultra. So it is good to see that the company is doing something interesting with it's flagship device. It's doing something innovative with the edges of the phone. The device will have a 5.5 inch screen size. The display will be a QHD screen. The display of the device will be good as it will QHD.

The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. This chipset is based on an octa core processor with four kryo cores cloaked at 1.9 GHz and other four kryo cores cloaked at 2.35GHz. This is the main reason behind the late launch of the phone as the earlier batch of Snapdragon 835 chipset had already been taken by Samsung for S8. The overall performance of the phone will be really good. There won't be any issues regarding the performance of the phone. All the tasks will be performed butter smooth by the phone as it will be having one of the best processor of the year. It will be able to perform heavy to heavy tasks without any issues. For better graphics the phone is powered by Adreno 540 GPU. It can perform all the graphic intensive tasks like heavy gaming without any lags and framedrops.

HTC U11 is rumored to have a 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture with OIS and HTC's Ultrapixel 3 and Ultraspeed AF. The secondary camera will be a 16MP with f/2.0 aperture. I hope the camera of the phone will be really good.

Also the phone will be having all the basic sensors. It won't be skipping on any of the sensors. Also the phone will be having NFC. The phone will also be a water resistant phone.

For better sound department the device will have a feature of HTC Boomsound. This technology is developed by HTC. In this the device is having two front facing speakers with a great number of micro holes. These front facing speakers help in listening the sound more comfortably than other phones which have speakers at back or at the sides. The phone is also rumored to come with extra HTC's usonic headphones with active noise cancellation.

The phone will be having a 3000 mah non removable battery. The battery quantity of the phone is somewhat low. Also the phone will be having fast charging support, so that phone can be quickly charged in this busy schedule. The phone will have USB Type-C port.

The phone is rumored to come in two versions one with 128GB internal and 6GB RAM and other with 64GB internal and 4GB of RAM. The phone will be powered by Android Nougat 7.0. The bad news about the phone is that the phone won't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. But it will have an adaptor of USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack.

So these are some of the rumors of HTC's new flagship that is HTC U11. The phone will compete with those of Samsung S8 and LG G6, which are also the flagship phones this year. The main feature of the phone will be the edges of the phone which are touch sensitive and can do actions according to our gestures or squeezes. It is interesting to see that HTC is doing something innovative with it's flagship device. But only doing something innovative won't increase the sale of the phone. HTC should also price the phone aggressively because in this flagship market Samsung and Apple are already very prominent. So to fight them, HTC has to price the phone at a cheaper price than them. So let's see what company will do with it's flagship phone this year as it is going to launch the device on May 16, at Taipei.

Smartphone Market in India

Smartphone Market analysis in India

India is second largest in terms of population. It has population of around 1.3 billion. And nowadays smartphone has become a need of the person in this digital era. So in such a populous country the demand of smartphone is also very large. That's why India is one of a very important country for all the smartphone brands. It doesn't take much longer for brands to launch their smartphones in India. The brands like Apple and Samsung launch their smartphones in India after a few days of announcement of their device. There are many smartphone brands in India like Samsung, LG, Apple, Sony, Google, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Oppo, Vivo, Micromax and many more. For some of the Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Lenovo India is the second largest market after China. In India smartphones are sold via online as well as offline mode. There are many retail shops in India for sale of smartphones in offline mode and many online marketing sites like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. But still most of the smartphones are sold via offline market. So today in this I will tell about the smartphone analysis of India, what is the real picture behind such a big smartphone market.

As already mentioned the most of the smartphones are sold from retail shops in India. This is so because offline market has a larger reach than the online market. In India retail mobile shops are available all over the country. But in online market firstly a person require an internet connection and a device to book his device on the merchant's site. Also in retail shops the person can see original the phone by his eyes and can also take it in hands. By doing this he can make the full estimate of which phone he should take. But in online market only the picture of phone is shown to the person. So as the people of India are very picky and suspicious, they usually prefers offline market. Most of the times a device which is available in offline is also available in online market. Almost each and every mobile is available online.

But online market has more advantages over offline market. If a company has to launch it's device in offline markets it has to launch the device at a much higher cost as to bring a device to offline market, there are many middle men involved who also have to take the profit. So the actual cost of the phone goes higher. That's why many of the companies like Xiaomi, Lenovo, One Plus mostly sell their smartphones through online market only. Also in online mode we get many offers which actually reduce the price of the smartphones. And these type of offers are not available in these retail shops.

There are many companies like Apple, Samsung Sony, HTC, Oppo, Vivo which launch their smartphones in online as well as offline market. At first the price of the smartphones are same on both the platforms but after some time if the device don't sell much the company mostly reduces the price on online market. But in offline they are still available at the launch price. So this price difference also makes the online market better.

And now the real picture of offline market will come out. The companies like Oppo, Vivo and Samsung usually give commission to these retail shopkeepers to force the customers to buy their smartphones. So these shopkeepers are not concerned on whether the mobile is good or not they are getting commission and they are supposed to sell that smartphone only at any cost. Also they get money by just displaying the hoardings of the brand in their shops. So if you go to a smartphone shop they will first show you the Oppo, vivo and Samsung smartphone for a mid ranger or a budget smartphone. Also these brands do a very good marketing by placing their hoardings in different places and also showing their advertisements in newspapers and TV.

But actually these smartphones are not that much good by seeing the price. They are not value for money. We are actually paying a higher price for a smartphone. Take the example of Samsung J2, it sells in India very much but the smartphone is really bad. This got possible only due to these shopkeepers. These customers don't have that much technical knowledge about the smartphones. So they get trapped in the trap of shopkeepers and they buy a Oppo or Vivo smartphone. That's why last year the sale of Oppo and Vivo phones are much higher and it's even rising.

But nowadays the purchase of smartphones through online market is also rising. The Chinese brands is tightening their hold on the online market. Mostly every Chinese brand sell their phones online, and to increase the sale they usually do flash sales which has limited stocks only. They launch their smartphones only in online market. That's why they are able to price their phones much lower than companies like Samsung, Oppo , vivo. It is roughly estimated that for a Oppo, vivo smartphone with the same specifications as a Xiaomi device, the company charges 40% more from a customer. So in this way these company make fool of customers and earn more money.

I have included the name Samsung above because all the Samsung phones in budget and mid range segment are not value for money. We can get much better phones at the same price. But the Flagship phones of Samsung are best. They are among the best phone of the year. So only the Flagship phones of Samsung are worth considering.
