Design

One Plus 5 has a good design. It has full metallic body with Glass at front. This is having a metal unibody design. OnePlus 5 has a somewhat different design from that of previous versions, it employs some design tips from iPhone 7 and some from it's previous versions. So the design of OnePlus 5 is somewhat mixed but it looks good. Now it has more rounded edges and also got slimmer. So it is easier to fit the phone in one hand. On front the phone is having 5.5 inch Full HD display, fingerprint sensor, secondary camera and earpiece. This display is of AMOLED type. On back the phone is having dual rear camera setup and OnePlus branding. The antenna lines at the back are embedded in the edges to make them barely noticeable. The phone is also having alert slider just like it's previous versions which is a good feature of OnePlus. The design of the phone is good. The phone will be compact to hold in one hand. Overall the design of the phone is good.

Display

OnePlus 5 has a full HD 5.5 inch display. The display is protected by corning gorilla glass 5. The display is of AMOLED type. So the quality of display will be good as OnePlus 3 is also having the same display and it is good.

Processor

OnePlus 5 is powered by Qualcomm's latest chip that is Snapdragon 835. This is based on octa core processor with four kryo cores cloaked at 2.45GHz and other four kryo cores cloaked at 1.9 GHz. This chip is built on new 10nm architecture which is very power efficient. We already know that there won't be any issue with the performance of OnePlus 5 as it is having Snapdragon 835 chipset which is a flagship chipset made by Qualcomm. This phone is powered by Adreno 540 GPU for better graphic intensive tasks. So there won't be any issues in playing heavy games like Asphalt 8, Nova 3 and Modern Combat 5. Also there won't be any issues regarding the performance of OnePlus 5.

Camera

And here comes the most interesting feature of the phone that is Camera. OnePlus comes with new dual rear camera setup which is having a 16 MP lens with f/1.7 aperture, 1.12 microns pixel size, EIS and a 20 MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture size and 1 micron pixel size. The phone is having Electronic Image Stabilization for smooth video recording and still pictures. The phone is having phase detection autofocus for fast focusing. Also there is dual LED flash at back for low lightening photographs. These two lenses contribute together to produce much better photos. Also there is optical zoom of 1.6x on the phone for zooming in. The telephoto lens detects the distance between the phone and the things in outside environment to produce better shots. Also OnePlus has embedded a special software for camera known as Smart Capture which improves the photographs a lot. It helps in reducing noise in pictures captured in low lightening conditions. It combines optical zoom with multi frame technology so that while zooming in pixels may not get deteriorated. Also the HDR on OnePlus 5 is very good, it improves the dynamic range of photos a lot. There is also portrait mode on OnePlus 5 which is most effective on photos of persons. Also there is a pro mode on the phone where all the things like white balance, ISO, exposure can be adjusted. But this pro mode should only be used when the person is aware of what he is doing. The auto mode is also good which is controlled by smart capture. The camera can record videos upto 2160p @ 30fps and 1080p @30/60fps. This can also record slomo  720p videos @120fps.
OnePlus 5 is having 16 MP secondary camera for better photographs. This lens is having f/2.0 aperture size with focal length of 20mm. This lens is having 1 microns pixel size. Also there is Electronic Image Stabilization in this camera for better Stabilization in videos. So the camera performance of the device should be good by seeing the great specs of the camera.

User interface

One Plus 5 is powered by Oxygen OS which is based on Android Nougat. The user interface is just like stock android, that's why it is quite easy to use. There won't be any issue while using the phone with the user interface provided. There won't be any lags whatsoever while using the phone. All things will be very snappy. This time there are some new features in the phone. It has a special reading mode which automatically turn on when we open any reading app like kindle. This reading mode don't put stress on our eyes. Also there is a long screenshot option included in the phone. It captures the long screenshot when we scroll down the screen and it captures the whole scene until we stop scrolling down screen in the form of a long image.

Battery life and charging

OnePlus 5 is powered by 3300 mah non removable battery. The battery quantity is 100 mah less than OnePlus 3T. As it is powered by a chipset based on 10nm architecture the power consumption will be less. According to me the phone's battery life will be enough to run for a full typical day. Also it is having that dash charge technology which charge the phone really quick. OnePlus got really famous due to this dash charge technology which can charge the phone fully in one hour. So it will be very much effective in OnePlus 5 also.

Final verdict

We have already seen that One Plus 5 packs all the flagship features. But what about the price? OnePlus has a quite aggressive price. It is priced at 33000 INR for 6 GB RAM model and 38000 INR for 8 GB RAM model. So we have seen OnePlus is priced at a very low price while all other smartphones from Samsung and LG having the same type of specs are usually priced very higher than this. So OnePlus 5 is a worth buying smartphone at this price. OnePlus is a company which launch only one flagship every year but they put their full attention on that particular smartphone. That's why they come up with a great smartphone every year.
