Nokia 8110 4G

The era of cell phone start with feature phones. Feature phones is the initial stage of our smartphone of nowadays. But do we require those feature phones in today's era of smartphones? Actually it depends on personal preference. Nokia at MWC 2018 launched a new feature phone known as Nokia 8110 4G. It is a rebuilt version of Nokia 8119 which was launched back in 1996. This is a slider type phone in the shale of a banana. The interesting thing is that it runs on KaiOS which also powers the Jio phone launched last year.

Nokia 8110 has a curved design just like a banana. For connectivity it is having 4G, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS as well. It also has FM Radio. The phone is having a 2MP shooter at the back. The phone is having a 2.4" QVGA display, 4GB of internal storage and 1500 mah of battery. Also there is a feature of connecting and disconnecting calls by sliding the slider up or down. We already knew that Google would launch a smartphone with Android Oreo (Go edition) OS at MWC 2018 and that smartphone is this Nokia 1. Nokia 1 is the first smartphone to run on Android Oreo (Go edition). Android Oreo (Go edition) is the project by Google in which the phone having basic hardware will run on Android Oreo (Go edition) operating system. This OS is a lite version of Android Oreo which will run smoothly with the basic hardware in this phone.

Nokia 1 is powered by Mediatek chip which is a quad core chip with each core cloaked at 1.1GHz each. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM. The phone has a screen size of 4.5" which has a resolution of 480*854 pixels. It has a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The storage in the phone is 8GB and can be expanded upto 128GB via micro SD. It is having a 2150mah battery.

Google has launched many apps under this project such as Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Files Go and many more. It has also featured the phone with Google Assistant Go for AI support. It also comes with Gboard Go. All these apps use less storage and less RAM. These are just the lite versions of their parent apps. So there will be some crosscutting of features while using the apps.

Nokia 6 (2018)

Nokia also announced Nokia 6 at the MWC event and this is the 2018 version of the Nokia 6. Nokia has already launched this device in China but now it is launching it globally. Nokia 6 has the same design as that of previous version. It is having the same glass and aluminum design. The screen is a 5.5" Full HD screen which has an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's snapdragon 630 chipset which is an octa core processor with each cortex A-53 core cloaked at 2.2GHz. The Operating System in the phone is stock Android. The phone comes in two memory configurations 3/32GB and 4/64GB.

The camera is same as the previous Nokia 6 that is a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 1┬Ám pixel size. But it has support of Carl Zeiss which will improve the photo quality. It is having a front shooter of 8MP with f/2.0 aperture size. Nokia 6 comes with Nokia OZO audio with 2 microphones. It is also having USB Type-C connector. The phone also supports fast charging with 50% of battery filled in 2 hours. The phone is having 3000mah battery.

Nokia 6 is priced at around $300. Looking at the specs of the phone it is somewhat on the costlier side. But one thing is good with these Nokia devices that they receive updates really fast.

Nokia 7 plus

Nokia 7 plus is yet another device from the company. It is in the premium mid range segment. It is the first smartphone from the Nokia to have a 18:9 aspect ratio display. The phone is having a metal design with  a single layer of aluminum and over it 6 layers of paint to give it a matte finish. The design of the phones is really good. It is having a 6.0" screen with FHD+ resolution. This display has an aspect ratio of 18:9. This is the first phone from Nokia with such display.

Nokia 7 plus is powered by Qualcomm's snapdragon 660 chipset which is an octa core processor with four kryo cores cloaked at 2.4GHz each and the other four kryo cores cloaked at 1.8GHz each. The phone is having a dual camera setup of 12MP f/1.75 aperture + 12MP f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens. The camera is powered by Carl Zeiss technology. On front it has a 16MP f/2.0 aperture lens. But the price of the phone is really high, it is priced at €399. And it comes in two colors Black/copper and White/copper.

Nokia 8 Sirocco

Nokia also launched it's next flagship at the MWC known as Nokia 8 Sirocco. This is the successor of Nokia 8 which was launched last year. The phone looks like Samsung S series smartphones as it has curved edges like Samsung S series. The design of Nokia 8 Sirocco is really good. It is made up of stainless steel back which has more strength than aluminum. On front it has a 5.5" screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. The display is p-OLED type which is made by LG. The resolution of the display is 1440*2568 pixels. The edges of the screen are curved just like Samsung flagship phones which look really cool.

For audio the phone is having 3 microphones. It is having a battery of 3260mah and it also supports fast charging.

Nokia 8 Sirocco is powered by Qualcomm's snapdragon 835 chipset which company also used in Nokia 8. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+: All Specs explained

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

Samsung has finally unveiled Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the MWC 2018. There were lot of rumors about the smartphone before the official launch. Most of the rumors come true but there are many new features in the device which we will discuss here. Let's talk firstly about the design of the device.

Design

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have the same design as that of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. They have the same glass design on front and back and an aluminum frame. They have the same infinity displays with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is an AMOLED type display with 1440*2960 pixels resolution. Also the same curved screen is present which looks very cool. Even the screen size is same as that of S8 and S8+ that is 5.8" and 6.2". Both the phones are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.

The power button on this phone is located to the right, the Bixby button to the left and the volume button also to the left. But this time the placement of the fingerprint scanner is not at the awkward position like S8 and S8+, instead it is now present just below the camera module for easier reach. Instead of keeping the same design as that of S8 and S8+, this is still among the best designed phones. One can easily mistake Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ for S8 and S8+, but the placement of fingerprint scanner can make a difference. The phones come in four colors Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray and Lilac Purple.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ both are powered by the same chipsets. But there will be two versions of the phones with one running on Qualcomm's snapdragon 845 chip and another running on Exynos 9810 chipset. Snapdragon 845 is based on octa core processor with four kryo 385 gold cores cloaked at 2.7GHz each and other four kryo 385 silver cores cloaked at 1.7GHz each. The Exynos 9810 is also based on an octa core processor with four Mongoose cores cloaked at 2.8GHz each and the other four Cortex A-55 cores cloaked at 1.7GHz each.

Qualcomm version is only for US while the rest of the world will get Exynos version. Both of these chipsets are among the best chipsets of the world. So talking about performance, the performance of the devices will be buttery smooth. The phone will be among the best performed phones of the world. The snapdragon version is powered by Adreno 630 GPU and Exynos version is powered by Mali-G72 MP18 for better graphics and flawless gaming performance. Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB of RAM while Samsung Galaxy S9+ comes with 6GB of RAM.

The reimagined Camera

Samsung is always known for it's smartphone camera and this time too the legacy is maintained. Samsung is touting a lot about the cameras before the launch. Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a very unique camera. Samsung Galaxy S9 has single 12MP rear camera sensor while Samsung Galaxy S9+ comes with dual 12MP camera setup. Among these two lenses one is the simple one while other is a telephoto lens.

We know that we can change the aperture of the camera sensor in the DSLR according to the lightening available in the scene. But what about the camera in smartphones? They always come with fixed aperture camera sensors but this time Samsung has changed it too. Yes it comes with the variable aperture, it's rear camera sensor can change aperture between f/1.5 largest ever in any smartphone camera and f/2.4. Taking photos with f/1.5 aperture in good lightening conditions is of no use, it only makes the photo softer. So there we require f/2.4 aperture camera sensor for making the photo more crisp. But in low lightening conditions we can shift back to f/1.5 which will be helpful there. Both Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have this variable aperture lens at back.

Samsung Galaxy S9 is having 12MP f/1.5-f/2.4 aperture rear camera. It is also having Optical Image Stabilization, Phase detection autofocus and LED flash. While Samsung Galaxy S9+ is having 12MP f/1.5-f/2.4 aperture + 12MP f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens, rear camera setup. Both the phones can shoot videos upto 2160p @60fps, 1080p @240fps and slomo videos of 720p @960fps. The slo mo video of the device is really cool. It is capturing 960 frames in one second, which is very impressive. It means that we can record very good slow motion with the device.

Both the phones are having the same front cameras. They have a 8MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture which can record videos upto 1440p. This camera is similar to what we get in the front camera of Samsung S8 and S8+.
The camera of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is the most impressive part as it is having variable camera and 960fps slow motion video.

AR EMOJI

We are already familiar with the Animoji feature on iPhone X which is based on AR. Similar to this, Samsung also put AR emoji in Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. AR EMOJI is a really cool feature as it creates an animated emoji of yours when we put our face in front of the camera. And now after creating that EMOJI we can customize it as well by changing our clothing, facial looks, hair and many more. And now we can record videos with these EMOJI and send it to others via WhatsApp or Facebook messenger. Also we can replace our EMOJI with some other character like Mickey mouse or some other cartoon characters. We can also create GIFs with this. This AR EMOJI is a really fun feature by Samsung.

Artificial Intelligence

Samsung has also touted a lot about the artificial intelligence at the event. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ has it's assistant Bixby just like Google Assistant which is based on this artificial intelligence. Samsung launched this Bixby last year with Samsung S8 and S8+. Just like S8 and S8+ there is a dedicated key present to launch this Bixby. According to the company Bixby has become more intelligent than previous year. The Bixby adapts according to our preferences and makes our work easy by showing things of our use. So it's a very good feature, it is just like Google Assistant. Now it helps us in online shopping as well by suggesting us various items of our preference. Now it also get a new feature just like Google Lens, in which we just have to get some thing in our camera's frame to know about that item. Also we can use this feature to translate some written language in our own language by just getting that in front of our camera. So Bixby has got smart a lot.

Software

We have already seen that Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are equipped with the best hardware available in the market for a smartphone. But alone hardware can't do anything. It should have a good software as well. For this, phone is equipped with a good software. The phones come out of the box with Android 8.0 Oreo. The operating system is really good in the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ come with Samsung Pay which is now available in more than 20 countries. They also have Samsung Health which plays a major role in keeping you fit by telling you about your steps count, calories burnt, heart rate and your workout track. Also they have Bixby Assistant about which we have already discussed.

Samsung has also secured their devices with Samsung Knox which plays a major role in keeping your information safe. Also it comes with Samsung Dex which was also present on Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ by which you can use your phone on a bigger PC, so you don't have to carry a separate laptop to your Office, your phone will fulfill all the needs. Only Dex pad is required on which you will place your phone and now you are ready to use it on a bigger screen. And Samsung has also launched a brand new Dex pad.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with 3000 mah battery and S9+ comes with 3500 mah battery. The battery life of the phones will be good as these new chips are built on 10nm architecture which is very power efficient. Also the phone supports fast charging through USB Type-C connector. The phone also supports fast wireless charging.

Sound

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ now use stereo speakers. It also uses the earpiece as a speaker. That's why the speaker will be louder this time. Also it supports Dolby Atoms technology for cinematic sound quality. The sound will be really immersive due to this Dolby Atmos. It also has 3.5mm jack for listening through headphones.

Pricing and availability

Samsung will launch the smartphones next month in different markets. That's why the availability and pricing is yet to be announced by the company. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ come in four colors blue, black, gray and purple.

Google will launch $50 smartphones at MWC 2018

Android Oreo (Go edition): A Google Project

Earlier this year Google announced it's new program Android Oreo (Go edition) in which the company will launch smartphones with a highly customized version of Android Oreo which can support phones with less capable hardware. And now Google has revealed that the first smartphone based on Android Oreo (Go edition) will be announced at MWC 2018.

Except this Google hasn't revealed anything else. The OS for these smartphones will be a highly optimized version of Android Oreo. The phone will support the default basic apps which comes with the smartphone. Also there will be highly optimized version of Play Store which will have apps supporting this OS.

The main motive of Google behind this project is to increase the use of smartphones. Also company wants that even the most affordable phones should have good performance with Android Oreo. The phone will also have more storage as the Operating System is very lite and it takes very less amount of storage. Also the apps are developed so lite that they takes less storage and the performance will be good.

There are many new apps like YouTube Go and Files Go which have already been developed for this OS. Also there is a special assistant known as Google Assistant Go for this OS. Also many developers are working to build apps for the phones running on this OS. Also there is a new feature known as Find My Device in this phone which is a built in feature by which you can it track down, set a passcode or clean all the data from the phone just by signing into your Google account. Also there will be regular scans of apps on your phone so that apps don't waste data of your phone.

And lastly the price, the price of these smartphones will be less than $50 which is quite less. This initiative from Google is very good as it will help many people who can't afford to buy a smartphone to get Android experience. These phones are basically aimed at poor countries like India so that each and every person in the country can use smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S9: What We Know So Far

Samsung Galaxy S9

We are just four days away from the official announcement of Samsung's Next flagship phone that is Samsung Galaxy S9, so here are some of the rumors of the device. Samsung will launch it's new flagship on 25th February at MWC 2018. Firstly there will be two versions of the phone just like S8 and S8+ that are Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+. The S9+ will be bigger in size as evident for it's name.

Both the phones will be having super  AMOLED displays which will have 2K resolution. Both will be having the same infinity  display just like Samsung S8 and S8+. Samsung Galaxy S9 will have the screen size of 5.8" while that of S9+ will have 6.2". Both the phones will be having the same glass and metal design as that of S8 but this time the camera and fingerprint sensor will be in the vertical position by making the fingerprint sensor easier to reach unlike S8 and S8+ which have fingerprint scanner at awkward position.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset which is the new powerful chip from Qualcomm this year. This model will only be available in US while the global version will be powered by Exynos 9810 chipset which is Samsung's self built chip for it's flagship phone this year. Both these chips are based on octa core processors but cores of Exynos chip are cloaked at 2.9 GHz each while that of Snapdragon's one are cloaked at 2.6GHz each.

Samsung Galaxy S9 will be having a single rear camera setup with a 12MP sensor. But we can vary the aperture of this camera from f/1.5 to f/2.4. So this will be the first phone to have a variable aperture in the camera. This will actually help in capturing good photos in different lightening conditions. Samsung Galaxy S9+ will have dual camera setup with one sensor same as S9 while other sensor is a 12MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

Samsung Galaxy S9 will be having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while S9+ will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of RAM. Also there will be SD card slot along with the cloud storage of 400GB. Samsung Galaxy S9 will have 3000mah battery and Samsung Galaxy S9+ will have 3500mah battery. The power consumption will also reduce due to power efficient chips.

And lastly these are just rumors which can be true as well as false. But all things will be clear on 25th February at Samsung's MWC event. And one thing more, prices of these new flagship phones from Samsung will also be higher than the previous one.

Display Resolution Explained

Display Resolution

All must have heard about 720p, 1080p, 2K when we see the configuration of the displays. So today in this article we are going to discuss about resolution of displays. So what does it mean by 720p display or 1080p display. This actually tells us the resolution of the displays.

The 720p means that this display has a resolution of 1280*720. It means that the screen is having 1280 pixels in the horizontal and 720 pixels in the vertical side. And now you must be wandering what does it mean by pixel? The pixel is the smallest unit of the picture on the display just like cell which is the basic unit of our body.

So more the pixels, better will be the picture quality. The 1080p display has a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels which means that 1920 pixels on the horizontal side and 1080 pixels on the vertical side. So clearly 1080p display will have much better picture quality as it is having more pixels on the same screen.

Also you must have heard the word PPI which stands for pixel per inch, that means number of pixels available per inch on the display. We can also consider PPI to be pixel density. So 720p displays have less ppi than that of 1080p displays. That's why 1080p displays are better than 720p displays.

We also hear the term aspect ratio, but what does this mean? Aspect ratio is just the ratio of the pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the display. For example aspect ratio of 720p displays will be the ratio of 1280:720 which actually equals to 16:9. But generally we use term 16:9 instead of 1280:720.

These days smartphone brands are preferring the new aspect ratio for their smartphones that is 18:9 which actually increase the pixel count on the screen thus making the bezels smaller. Many of the flagship phones like Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Google Pixel XL, Apple iPhone X have this kind of display.

LG's next flagship to be announced in June

LG's Next Flagship to be announced in June

Last year LG launched LG G6 at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona. So you must be expecting LG to launch it's next G series smartphone at MWC 2018. There will be some AI based changes in the smartphone.

Instead of launching it's next flagship phone at MWC, the company will launch it in June. So we got some of the rumors of the smartphones which we will list out today.

Firstly the name of the smartphone. The phone will not be called LG G7, so LG is changing the name of it's G series smartphones. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm's snapdragon 845 chipset which will be the next strongest chip from Qualcomm this year.

The size of the screen will be 6.1". The aspect ratio of the screen will be 18:9 same as that of LG G6 and LG V30. The display type will be a MLCD+ which is a new one from LG. Also this display will consume less power as compared to IPS LCD panels.

There will be two memory configurations that are 4/64GB and 6/128 or 256GB. The phone will be having a dual rear camera setup with both 16MP f/1.6 lenses. The phone will be dust and water resistant with IP68 rating. The phone in also rumored to have stereo speakers which will give better sound output. Design

Xiaomi has changed the design of the device from it's last series. Now it comes with the new bezelless display with 18:9 aspect ratio.  So it makes the display of the phone a lot better. The size of the display is 6 inch but the size of the phone is approximately same as the previous version due to this bezel less screen. The resolution of the display is Full HD and display is an IPS LCD type. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass but the version is unspecified.

From behind the phone looks similar to that of Redmi Note 4 with metallic unibody design. But now the curve is slightly different, it is designed to easily fit in one hand. The design of the Redmi Note 5 pro is really good. The phone feels really solid in hand. And also the bezel less display gives it a more better look. There is no cross cutting from Xiaomi in the design department.

Performance

Redmi Note 5 pro is powered by Qualcomm's snapdragon 636 chipset. This chipset is based on an octa core processor with each core cloaked at 1.8GHz each. Each of this core is Kryo 260 core which is based on ARM cortex A-73 platform. Earlier these Kryo cores are present in Qualcomm's snapdragon 820 and 835 chipsets which are flagship chips from the company. And we already know the Superfast performance of these chips. So the performance of Qualcomm's snapdragon 636 will also be great. For good graphics this phone is powered by Adreno 509 GPU. So there won't be any issue while playing heavy games. Snapdragon 636 is built on 14nm architecture so there won't be any heating issues and the battery life of the smartphone will also be good.

Camera

The camera is the most interesting part of Redmi Note 5 pro. Redmi Note 5 pro is having the dual camera setup on the primary side. This is the first Redmi phone to have a dual camera setup. Redmi Note 5 pro is having 12MP f/2.2 + 5MP f/2.0 camera setup. The first sensor is the normal one while the other sensor is for depth effects in the background. The extra sensor will help in getting some amazing shots by blurring the background and focusing on the main object just like DSLR. Also it will help in improving the photography in low light. This time Redmi Note 5 pro is also having Electronic Image Stabilization which will improve the image quality and also increase the stability of video. We can record upto 1080p with it's camera. The device is also having an impressive front camera with a 20MP f/2.2 camera senor. The front camera is also supported by a LED flash which will help in taking good selfies in low light. Also secondary camera is having a portrait mode which will blur the background and keeps the main person in focus. Every time customers complain about the photography of Redmi Note series phones in low light, but this time there will be considerable difference in the photo quality as seen from the hardware department of camera of Redmi Note 5 pro.

Also Xiaomi is touting a lot about it's new feature present on Redmi Note 5 pro's camera that is Beautify 4.0. This feature is mainly developed for the faces to look better. This will smoothen down the faces of the person by reducing any marks or pimples from the face of the person.

Operating System

Redmi Note 5 pro is powered by MIUI 9 which is based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. So you will get all the features present on Android Nougat. Also Xiaomi is claiming that the battery life and performance will be improved due to specially optimized UI for Redmi Note 5.

Unlocking

For unlocking the device there are many ways by drawing a pattern/Pin or by fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint is present at the back of device just like Redmi Note 4. The fingerprint sensor is fast and responsive. Now let's talk about a new unlocking feature, Xiaomi has included face unlock also in Redmi Note 5 pro. So now you can unlock your phone just by looking at the phone. This face unlock uses the front camera to recognize the face. Also many other devices of Xiaomi will get this face unlock with future OTA updates.

Battery

Redmi Note 5 pro is having a 4000 mah non removable battery. The battery life of the device will be really good due to two reasons. First one is this massive 4000 mah battery and second is that Snapdragon 636 is built on 14nm architecture which is highly power efficient. So battery life of Redmi Note 5 pro will be great just like Redmi Note 4. This device also supports fast charging.

Memory and RAM

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro comes in two memory configurations 64GB+6GB and 64GB+4GB. The RAM is LPDDR4X RAM which is also power efficient. So it also helps in improving the battery life. I will be more happy if Xiaomi has powered 6GB RAM model with 128GB memory configuration but 64GB memory is also not less.

Pricing

Now let's see the pricing of Redmi Note 5 pro. The phone with 6GB RAM is priced at $270 or 17000 INR and the phone with 4GB RAM is priced at $220 or 14000 INR. The phone will be sold via flipkart where you have buy it in flash sale. The first flash sale will held on 22nd February.

Snapchat's New Update Triggers Revolt By Millions of Teens

Snapshot's New Update Triggers Revolt By Millions of Teens

We all know about Snapchat, the image messaging app which came in market in 2011. Snapchat is the social media platform which got really famous among the teens and young really fast. Snapchat is the first platform which introduced the stories feature in it's app. It's story feature was liked by many persons.

Since 2011 Snapchat hasn't changed much in it's design. But last week it rolled out a new update which changes the interface of the app a lot.

The new feature actually splits the app into two sections, with friends content on the left side and media content on the right side. But many of the teens are not liking this new updated app. All are very angry with this move of the company and they want the old app back.

There is a fake tweet on twitter which claims that retweeting it for enough times will make the company to reconsider it's move of changing the interface of the app. Due to this many of the teens retweeted it and it became the 6th most retweeted tweet on Sunday.

Many of the other teens spent their weekends to tweet to the company to change the app UI back to earlier. Many posted to their stories showing that how much they are angry with company's this move. The change.org got a half of million signatures to remove the new Snapchat update.

With this new update the users are saying that instead of making the app user friendly the company has made it more complicated for usage. But the company is claiming that this new feature is for making the use of app easier by adding new features.

Many of the persons were not known about such a thing and when they opened the app some day they were shocked by seeing that the app is totally changed. People think that the social platform on which they rely has changed overnight.

Snapchat will lost it's reputation in market if it will not change the interface of it's app. The company shouldn't have made such a move so fast. It should have thought a lot before making such a move. Snapchat should have test this app with beta testers and after getting their reviews should made it's move. So let's see what will be the next move from Snapchat on this.

Samsung is working on chipsets which can mine Bitcoin

Bitcoin mining chipsets by Samsung

Samsung is reportedly working on mining the chips which can mine crypto currency. We all know about crypto currencies which is a hot topic these days across the world. Till date only super computers can mine these crypto currency which have very powerful chipsets. But now Samsung has seen the potential in making such kind of chips.

These type of chips are of Application Specific integrated circuit chips. These type of chips are customized for a particular use rather than intended for general purpose use. This chips are used in digital voice recorder or high efficiency Bitcoin miners. The design of these chips was completed last year. But they came into use last year. ASIC chips are made by a Chinese company.

Samsung is saying that manufacturing ASICs will take only a small portion of it's production and won't affect the production of there chips of Samsung. Samsung will work with Taiwanese chip maker TSMC in making ASICs.

Last year Samsung earned a large profit in manufacturing it's  chipsets. It has left behind the largest chip maker Intel in revenue. So by this, Samsung becomes the largest chip maker company in the world in revenue and earned a lot due to this. That's why Samsung wants to expand it's chipset business. So it has chosen to manufacture ASICs which will mine crypto currency. And these days crypto currency is the hottest topic.

Samsung will give a tough competition to the Bitmain, which is the largest ASIC chip maker. It concludes around 70% of ASICs in the world. The advantage which Samsung has over Bitmain is that Samsung holds the largest Korean plant which manufactures semiconductors. But Bitmain will take advantage of it's reputation in market by taking large orders from it's previous clients.

Also the Samsung is working on GDDR6 chips recently which are GPUs to mine crypto currency. It will be very good for crypto currencies which are mined by GPU. Bitcoin can't be mined by GPU but some of the crypto currencies like Etherium can be mined by GPU.
